Area Activities

Traverse City is a four-season playground with endless landmarks and natural attractions to explore. Hiking, biking, scenic driving, and dune climbing are just some of the ways to have fun.

Year-Round Activities

Many people visit the Grand Traverse area to explore the natural landmarks and attractions. All year long, you can explore the area with hiking, biking, scenic drives, and dune climbing at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

As much fun as Michiganders have in the summer, we would say they have even more fun in the winter. There are endless winter activities to enjoy. Snow lovers can enjoy the region’s best slopes with a hill and level of difficulty to meet everyone’s taste and skill level.

For those with a different appetite for adventure, we recommend Front Street in Downtown Traverse City. It’s the ideal spot for a retail and culinary adventure. The picturesque brick sidewalks and 19th-century Victorian shop windows provide a charming setting.

Four Seasons of Fun

Winter Wonderland.

Snow is something we celebrate in Northern Michigan. The more snow, the better. As soon as the snow starts to fall, we eagerly break out our skis or snowshoes and get ready for adventure. Downhill skiing and snowboarding become popular once the snow really starts to pile up.

Beautiful, perfect location This time we stayed in a 1 bedroom. The place is very luxurious, even for 3 people. We loved the fireplace. The Lodge staff is very friendly and helpful. They are a delight to work with. Free coffee and tea is provided, plenty of games provided free (board games, chess, puzzles, etc.)
