R.C. Hermann developed Tamarack Lodge for one simple reason: his family. R.C. began his career in Chicago in the 1970s, restoring 100-year old Victorian greystones. When he returned to the Grand Traverse region, he decided to create a resort in the tradition of the grand old lodges that captured the simplicity and beauty of "Up North" living.
